Hump Day Highlight w/ Mrs. Stanford's Class

I'm super duper excited about this idea I came up with....
{excuse me while I jump on my soap box}
I've been trying super hard to get back into blogging, collaborating, and creating but I have a million and one excuses yet I need some motivation lately. Having a three month old at home has given me that motivation! Not to mention the sure jealousness I have when I stalk other blogs! These women are superheroes I tell ya! I mean they teach, plan, create, clean, cook, decorate, design, research, purchase, travel.... AND BLOG ALL ABOUT IT. ::::sigh:::: that's what I want to be!
OK OK I digress.

So all of this got me thinking.... What do I enjoy about other blogs? I truly enjoy seeing what is going on, whether it be in their classroom, their home, or their car for that matter. I want to see it. (BTW I love all of you that use your 'teaching' blogs to tell me about what you're having for dinner or what you're doing with your kids... teaching IS our life right??)

Anyway. I want to see it.

So I got to thinking... I need to start posting what I stalk everyone else's blog for. I love seeing products, projects, and how they are used in the classroom, but how can I stay consistent? This OCD brain needs some sort of organization that is consistent. So this is what I came up with...

It will be a weekly link up on my good ole blog. Yep right here for 52 weeks! (well it could go longer if it's a hit, but let's stick with a one year goal for now) Why a linky you may ask? What better way is there to stick to a goal other than making sure you don't make others complain that you didn't do what you said you were going to having others support you in that goal.

So here is how it will work.
All you need to do is:
1. Use the icon above at the top of your post.
2. Post about a product or project you are currently using in your classroom.
3. Link your post to the inlinkz gadget at the bottom of my weekly post.
4. (optional) Comment on other posts that have linked up to start collaborating and get ideas!
5. (mandatory) come back each week with a glass of wine to join in the fun! :)

So that's that. Start planning out those posts for each Wednesday! The first link up will be January 7th, but why wait until then to start typing? Get those projects started, take those pics, and start typing! Schedule your posts for Wednesday and then link up!

Hope to see you there!!

Five for Friday: Getting Back to it Style!

It's been an exciting week here at the Stanford household (maternity leave has been treating me well)
First off... It was this little princess' first Halloween! Hope y'all aren't sick of her pictures yet. I'm a little obsessed with this doll!
Secondly, TpT wrote about me on their blog! I felt like a queen! If you'd like to check out the post click {here}

With my spare time at home I've been getting back into things like creating, blogging, and even a little bit of crocheting! This baby is far too easy, which means: a. this is the calm before the storm or b. the second one will be a complete terror! To grab this Story Elements Flipbook click {here}

TpT's FB featured one of my items! Thats not the best part! Look at the likes and shares!?!?! AMAZING!! I love you guys! To check out the original post click {here}

And as I said, I'm back into creating! Not to mention sprucing up my store with some commercials hehe Love being techie! If you'd like to check our my short vowel unit click {here}

November Currently

Gracelyn Mae is now 6 weeks old and (I don't want to jinx myself, but here goes nothing...) she's such an easy baby! Sleeps through the night, since day one I may add. I'm enjoying my time at home with her and don't want it to end!

Can I just tell you that I didn't even remember we had an extra hour of sleep?! I mean I knew the time change was occurring tonight, but with everything being automatic and digital, it's easy to forget that it's actually happening!

I really love tot, blogging, and everything that goes with it. I really need to get back into it! I have a month before I go back to school and it would be great to set some stuff up, because everyone knows that with a baby things get a little tougher. I'm not sure how going back to work, having the baby, and tpt are going to go. Pray for me lol

Chipotle. No explanation needed. Too bad my husband doesn't read my blog... anyone want to throw him a hint for dinner?!

Where in the world did fall weather go? We went from summer to winter in a week here in North Eastern Ohio! I'm a fall girl! (May have been a little ticked that the baby missed being a fall baby by a few days lol) What happened to jeans and sweatshirt weather?? I went from dresses to a scarf!!!

Texts from some friends! Sometimes I feel like thats all I have time to read lately, but they crack me up more than any book could lol
